The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Moving Forward Act, a $1.5 trillion plan to rebuild America’s infrastructure, which included two key manufactured housing provisions – the establishment of a program at HUD to fund the preservation of manufactured home communities and expansion and extension of the 45L Energy Efficient Home Tax Credit. The Senate version is likely going to look dramatically different but MHI, our national watchdog, continues to work with both chambers to support the inclusion of these two provisions in any infrastructure bill.

HUD has issued an automatic extension on the renewal of installer licenses expiring between March 31 and November 30. Licenses set to expire within that time will be extended to December 31, 2020.
